What is Let's Measure?

Let's Measure is an easy-to-use app that helps you measure distances and lay out sports fields using your iPhone or iPad's camera. It's perfect for coaches, athletes, and anyone who needs to set up field markings or place cones accurately.

What devices work with Let's Measure?

Works on: iPhone 8 or newer
Best experience: iPhone 12 Pro or newer with LiDAR (the black sensor on the back camera)
Requires: iOS 18.0 or later

Common Questions

How accurate are the measurements?

Very accurate! Most measurements are within 1-2% of the actual distance

For best results:

Use in good lighting
Keep your device steady
Measure on flat surfaces

What do I need to know about using the app?

1. Basic Use

• Point your camera at the ground
• Tap to place the start point
• The distance will be shown on screen
• Commit your line to solidify placement
• Adjust angle to your liking
• Extend in 90º or 180º angles

2. Measuring Angles

• Use the slider to adjust angles
• Tap the < and > buttons to fine-tune by 1 degree
• Perfect for creating perfect 90° or 180° angles

3. Saving Your Work

• Your measurements stay on screen as long as the app is open
• Close the app to clear and start fresh

What's this "LiDAR" thing?

LiDAR is a special sensor that helps your device measure distances

Phones with LiDAR (like iPhone 12 Pro and newer) work better because they:

Measure more accurately
Work better in low light
Track surfaces more quickly

I'm having trouble with the app. What should I do?

Make sure you're in a well-lit area
Try moving your phone in a slow figure-8 motion to help the camera understand the space
